resources to help yemen
yemen is currently experiencing the world's worst humanitarian crisis
in 2011, president ali abdullah saleh was forced to hand over power to his deputy, abdrabbuh mansour hadi. mr. hadi struggled with many internal problems, giving an opportunity for the houthis to rise up and capture many areas including the capital in 2014. saudi arabia + 8 other arab states with the support of the us + uk + france lead air strikes against the houthis, starting a civil war.
right now, 80% (source: unicef) of the population needs humanitarian assistance, and many systems like the health system are in shambles.
